GROUP VISITS

Home > GROUP VISITS

We welcome all types of groups to Bishop Bonner’s Cottage Museum, with both private visits and guided tours available to book for small groups.

Groups

Groups visits can be booked from May to October, on Sundays to Thursdays at a time to suit your group. Due to the small size of the cottages, we can accommodate up to 15 visitors at a time, and any larger groups will be divided upon arrival, offering visitors the opportunity to visit the nearby St Nicholas’ Church.

We are unable to accept walk-up groups so group visits must be booked in advance. If you are interested in arranging a group visit, please contact Catherine Hawkins cg.hawkins@outlook.com.

Cost: £3.00 per adult

Guided Tours

We also offer specialist guided tours of Bishop Bonner’s Cottage Museum, focusing on the unique structure of Dereham’s oldest domestic building. Visitors will be guided through the various phases of the cottages, from their Tudor construction and tenuous link with Bishop Bonner, to their present-day role as home to Dereham’s local history museum. Includes a souvenir guidebook for each group member.

Cost: £6.00 per adult

To ensure your visit runs smoothly, please let us know in advance if anyone in your group has accessibility needs. The nature of this old building, with its winding, narrow and steep staircases and uneven floors, makes access to the first floor difficult for some visitors. However, the ground floor has two rooms with level access and we will be pleased to admit wheelchair users to those free of charge.
