An Accredited Museum and Charity

The Museum is accredited under the Arts Council England Museum Accreditation Scheme. This provides ‘nationally agreed standards to ensure all museums are sustainable, focused and trusted, inspiring the confidence of the public and funding and governing bodies.’ We apply the standards and policies that the scheme requires to our whole organisation, not just the Museum. Our Museum Mentor, who provides professional advice, is Megan Dennis, Property Curator for the National Trust at Blickling Estate.

We are also a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, No. 1187140. Our constitution can be found here, and procedures which the Trustees have agreed are here. The minutes of the latest Annual General Meeting are here. Our Privacy Policy can be seen here.

Support

As a Registered Charity, we rely on your support to ensure we can continue to protect, preserve and promote Dereham’s history and heritage. If you have an interest in local history and care about protecting Dereham’s past, present and future, can we interest you in becoming a Member of Dereham Heritage Trust?
