Bring learning and local history to life with a visit to Bishop Bonner’s Cottage Museum. Bookings are now open for 2026.
We are pleased to welcome non-school learners and their families to the museum through our monthly Home-Education sessions.
Our special museum events offer children and families the chance to have fun engaging with Dereham’s history and heritage.
Cultural Curriculum
Dereham Heritage Trust offers a local-based Cultural Curriculum developed in line with best practice in UK museum and heritage education and aligned with the National Curriculum for History.
We connect national historical themes to local stories by exploring the heritage of people, places and objects in the area through enquiry-based learning to support the development of disciplinary knowledge from Early Years through to Key Stage 5.
